So disappointed.

As two young business owners, Debby and I were very disappointed when we saw this video. Oprah has so much influence and has accomplished so much in her life and is an inspiration for everyone trying to make it in this world. However after watching the you tube video below, we have lost all respect for her. It is incredible to us that she can stand before millions and lead them astray! We can only pray for her and her millions of viewers....which does not include us anymore.

I am so sad after watching the video. I knew something was up when I had 3 different messages in my inbox this morning about Oprah. I watched the video and before long my mouth was opened in shock! This is exactly what Satan LOVES! They, Oprah and "teachers" and "spiritual leaders" that she is surrounding herself with, are using the scriptures and twisting them to sound really good and very appealing to lead millions astray! I will be praying for the people who are weak in their faith and those who don't know Jesus yet that this message will fall on deaf ears. I also will have to say that I will no longer be a viewer of Oprah... even with all the good that she does, Lucifer is said to be the most beautiful angel, musically talented and charismatic as well... how else do you think that he got 1/3 of the angels to fall with him? I'm not saying that Oprah is Satan, but that she is leading others astray with her false "doctrine" which I think is ironic since she is against the doctrine that she experienced in the Baptist church. We should be on our guard and be prepared to stand up for our BELIEF in the ONE, TRUE GOD, the ONLY way!

Who would have thought that Opray would go this direction? Years ago she was warmly welcomed into our living rooms only today to be banned. It's important that we as Christians take a stand. This is false teaching and dangerous to our children, new Christians and none-believers...and weaker Christians as well. It's important that we take a stand! Let's not idly sit by as she comes against all that we believe.

Oprah is not God.Remember that she is human and responsible for her salvation.

Everyone is on a path of spirituality and it evolves as we grow and experience life with God. I can't give another person a reason to accept Christ in his/her life. Something had to happen to make it real to him/her.

But I feel that Oprah acts out of love not fear. And she seems generous with ideas and thoughts.

Don't rely on the understanding of others on your path with God.

Do you think that the creators of that video are concerned with your salvation? What did they show you about Oprah that you didn't know before? Don't forget to pray for them too.

I agree that we should pray for the one's that made the video as well. It could be construed that they made the video only as a means to sale a book. I have to admit that I wasn't thinking about praying for them at all. So thank you for reminding me! =)

As far as the video not having new information in it about/from Oprah that I didn't already know... I will say that I've been having issues with her views being on the edge of Christianity/New Age religion and wondering which way she went, so this totally laid it out for me in a way that I couldn't ignore any longer.

I wish that people wouldn't rely on others for their understanding of their path with God, however, in my case (and with many others I suspect), I do rely and reflect on what my husband says, what my pastor says, what my mentors say, what my parents say, what my family says, what my friends say, and at times what other "authority figures" say i.e. Oprah and others like her. This has been a wake up call for me to be careful about who I let in to my life to help me on my path because I think as a general rule, people are searching for something to fill that void, and look to others whom they believe "know more" than they do. For this reason I've decided to speak up about the importance of being aware.

I agree that I think Oprah is acting out of love and generosity with her ideas and thoughts, but it may be at the expense of others' salvation. I just can't get around that one though.

I think this is all really great because this is extremely thought provoking. I know as a mom, I tend to not think outside my auto-piloted day and take much time to think about anything outside my box, so I'm loving this whole discussion! =)

Thank you for all your comments! I agree that we need to pray for all those involved, however, I am not positive that Oprah is totally acting out of love. Regardless if she is acting out of concern or if she is trying to reassure EVERYONE that we will all end up in the same place with God one day, I still geel like she is doing it at the expense of possibly millions of peoples salvation.

I also agree that false prophets can appear good and know the bible inside and out....it does not make them right.

I agree. We need to pray for her. It really saddens me to see this!
